BT meeting delayed
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service’s Bodden Town community meeting scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled because of a conflicting community meeting.
An alternative date will be announced soon.
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service is calling on all drivers to park responsibly to help avoid unnecessary collisions taking place.
The call comes after two cars collided as a result of a vehicle obstructing the view of a motorist who was trying to exit a minor road onto a major road.
Drivers are being asked to always park their vehicles in a manner that does not obstruct any other road user, including pedestrians.
If a company is conducting road side maintenance work, men at work signs must be erected well in advance of the work beginning. All works likely to impede the normal flow of traffic must be reported to the RCIPS Traffic Management Department before the work commences.
The Ed Bush Sports Centre (Birch Tree Hill, West Bay) will be closed for essential improvements from May until September.
These improvements will include repairs to the grandstand, changing rooms, restrooms and installation of new lights. The tender process for field works is being prepared in consultation with the Cayman Islands Football Association.
The playing fields at John A. Cumber Primary School in West Bay are available for soccer and cricket during the closure period. Users are asked to direct requests for such use to the Education Department by telephoning 945 1199.
